What happens when two systems collide?  It could be opposing ideas, personalities, or cultures that intersect at some point.  Or a wave hitting the shore or even two soccer teams with different styles of play.

I’m less interested in the mess that a collision can create, but rather the new possibilities that can emerge in the aftermath.

New forms and ideas can be created from the clash of opposites and the destruction of old systems. I believe that the new forms can even be anticipated if one keeps a close eye on the change process. A leader with the big picture in mind can help guide and shape conversations that will enable new forms to emerge.

Understanding change of this nature and being able to create synergy between opposites is the challenge of our times.
